January photo project 2023.

It’s that time again.

For those of you who’ve followed along for some time now, you’ll be familiar with this personal photo project. For those new here, welcome!

Every January I take one photo each day, to savour some of the best days of our lives. The summer holidays, where we have minimal commitments and get to spend quality family time together. The late nights, sleep-ins, slow mornings, fun with friends, surfing, swimming and sunshine.

Sometimes they’re exciting adventure-filled moments and other times they’re just a moment in a very ordinary day.

Both equally memorable and special to me.

Day One // 9:41pm

We were having far too much fun to get a “Happy New Year” photo at midnight or any photos throughout the day, but this one sums up the time spent with our friends. Pushing out bed time routines as late as we possibly could to soak up all the minutes having fun together. [Also brushing away the multiple cups of cool drink and piles of Cadbury favourites consumed during said fun times!]
